Our Top-20

The harrowing task of picking the 9 ideas that move on to our Bootcamp is one step closer to completion.  From our first round of judging emerged our top-20 ideas – ideas that we believe we can stand by, support, and develop.

Picking our top-9, the winners of Idea Submission, is perhaps more daunting.  We are looking at ideas for which we can identify customers and develop a working partnership with them to roll out a MVP (minimum viable product).  The risk associated with this approach, of course, is losing out on some of the biggest and brightest ideas for the lack of identified customers.  For our first class, however, we are testing our process and managing uncertainty.

Our top-20 includes an array of ideas, all for the enterprise software industry.  In general, the ideas can be clubbed in three buckets.

Ideas for emerging technology trends:  Ideas in this category take on global enterprise challenges.  Solutions here address both known and anticipated problems with both emerging and existing technologies.

Ideas that advance existing solutions:  Ideas in this bucket have direct competitors.  The assumption here is that in certain key areas, Softtek can launch a stronger set of solutions than what exists in the market.

Ideas for new markets:  This includes everything from disruptive technologies to introducing a completely new line of products and solutions for Softtek.

Initiatives in these broad categories include:

To select the top-9 from this select bunch of initiatives presents a complex challenges, but a rather exciting one.
